1. Photo of HXI Instrument.

2. The photo shows the HXI detector array installed behind the rear base plate, which is used to record the modulated flare hard X-ray signals, unmodulated total fluxes, and background.

3. The payload ASO-S/HXI uses in total 91 subcollimators to modulate incident hard X-rays, which provide spatial resolution as high as 3.2 arcsec. Each subcollimator has two tungsten grids. There are ten groups of grids with pitch from 36 microns to 1224 microns. The photo shows the grids in the front base plate.

4. This photomicrograph shows the details of a tungsten grid with a pitch of 36 microns.
