ASO-S passes the review for phase-A study

The review meeting of the Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S) for phase A study is held on 2017 June 16 at the National Space Science Center (NSSC), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) in Beijing. The ASO-S mission team presented to the review committee a comprehensive report on the ASO-S current status, including the scientific objectives, the preliminary design, the key technical issues, the development plan and the feasibility analysis. The review committee consists of relevant experts from the Nanjing University, the National Astronomical Observatories of China (NAOC), the China Xi'an Satellite Control Center, the Beijing Institute of Remote-Sensing Information, the Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO) and the NSSC, etc. After discussing and questioning, the review committee concludes that the ASO-S mission is ready for phase-A study.
